I move through this shade of blue,
and I am just following the patterns of the moon.
How strange, there was a shadow,
but nothing there to cast it.
When I looked up I saw the beast,
a whale on the surface.
Though I knew I shouldn’t,
I swam, I swam.
I bit the star,
and it pulled me up.
And with an inverse splash,
I saw what I never could before.
The whale was not a whale at all,
I met a man, a pole in hand,
“Too small” he said and I fell.
I move through this shade of blue,
and I am just following the patterns of the moon.
